Ain't Worth a Lick

One of Leo's little eccentricities is that he is a licker. I have not known many cats in my life thus far, but I have only been licked by one other cat. And that was only a couple of times. Literally twice.

At first I thought it was just because
he tasted some food or something on my hands. But, then he did it so much, and not just on my hands. He will lick my arm, my toes, my chin, my nose... even give me a smooch on the cheek.

I try not to encourage it, but it is much harder to control a cat than it is a dog. And it is certainly odd for a cat, but I now find it more endearing than weird. I know he means it in a sweet way, so I can't get mad at him for it.

They are "kitty kisses" after all.
